Service during Canada Post mail disruption

September 26, 2025

We’d like to provide some reminders about online methods of payment and other information that you may find helpful during this latest Canada Post mail disruption.

Claims

If you have a claim, your adjuster will work with you directly to make sure you get your payment as soon as possible. Methods may include e-transfer, couriering cheques or cheque pick up.

Payment options

It’s important to continue to make payments on your insurance policy to maintain your coverage. If you normally send your payments directly to Coachman by mail, here are some alternative payment methods.

  1. Use internet banking through your bank’s website or app, choosing COACHMAN INSURANCE as the payee.
  2. Pay at your insurance broker’s office.
  3. Make an online payment through pay.mysgi.ca, if you normally make payments directly to Coachman (not your insurance broker). Using this method of payment requires you to pay off your policy in full (one payment).
  4. Make an online payment through MySGI.ca or ePayment, depending on when your policy was issued. If you’re unsure, your broker can help.
  5. Call our Billing department directly at 1-800-667-8988.

Renewing your policy

You’ll likely be contacted by your insurance broker before your policy is due to renew — but it’s still a good idea to check the expiry date on your policy. If the expiry date is coming up, check in with your broker to make sure your insurance coverage remains current. You can access your policy documents though our customer portal, MySGI.ca, or your insurance broker.

Registered letters

Registered letters are sent to customers who have missed payments or whose policies are being cancelled. SGI CANADA will use Purolator’s courier service to deliver registered letters that are normally mailed out by Canada Post.

If you have a post office box (rather than a physical address) listed on your policy, Purolator will attempt to contact you via email, advising you of pickup locations.

Questions?

If you have any questions, please contact your insurance broker, or call us at 1-800-361-2622 (toll-free).
